Accomplished turntablist and award-winning DJ, Theron Hunt has been setting the standard as a musician in San Diego for nearly a decade. Mastering spinning vinyl first, then switching over to DJ/Producer software Serato Scratch Live and Ableton to keep up with the latest in today’s ever growing technologies, Theron truly epitomizes what a well-rounded, creative and skilled DJ should be. It’s no coincidence that Theron has won awards for being outstanding and a popular DJ nearly every year for the past 9 years. So far he’s taken home “Best Resident DJ” by 944 Magazine in both 2006 and 2007 , “Eventvibe’s “DJ of the Year” in 2004 and taking first place at the DJ Spin-Off at 4th and B nightclub in 2002. Most recently Theron received 944 reader’s pick for “Best DJ” 2011 in San Diego. His innovative approach combined with his laid back persona has given his following a unique artistic perspective in creating and DJing music. Musically, he aesthetically refuses to conform to the status quo as he stays true to his roots of rock, 80’s, punk, old funk and breakbeats to create his own fresh style of party rockin’ electro, breaks and house music. His residencies at San Diego hotspots such as the Ivy Hotel, Side Bar, Basic and any Fortune Industry event are overwhelmingly successful week after week. During his career thus far he’s also DJ’d alongside Industry legends like Tiesto, Donal Glaude, DJ Icey, Bad Boy Bill and the Crystal Method to name a few; he’s also headlined numerous events, such as the Winter Music Conference in Miami (2001-20010), Club Rubber, Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas and Drai’s Las Vegas.

and production side of the nightlife. With ownership in Fortune Music, a subsidiary of Fortune Industries, he is working on producing his own tracks, as well as using Fortune Music as an avenue to work on projects with top DJ/Producers such as Donald Glaude , Charles Feelgood and Scooter and Lavelle. Through these relationships, Theron and his Fortune Music collaborative have already produced a track that hit number one on dancerecords.com. In the coming years, Theron and Fortune Industries will continue to push the envelope both in music, events and business by expanding their message of love, family and good times across the States and, hopefully, across the globe.
